The Meritorious Service Award honors contributions to the Signal Processing Society. It shall consist of a plaque and a certificate. The current President of the Signal Processing Society is ineligible. Previous recipients of the Signal Processing Society Meritorious Service Award are ineligible. Current members of the Awards Board and the Board of Governors are ineligible. Judging shall be based on dedication, effort, and contributions. Presentation shall be made at the Society's Awards Ceremonies, normally held during ICASSP in the Spring following selection of the winner. Self-nominations are not accepted or considered. Nominations may arise from any individual or committee of the Society and shall be submitted directly to the Society's Awards Board for review and subsequent balloting of the final nomination by the Board of Governors.
