Design and Implementation of Signal Processing Systems Technical Committee

Member Selection

Members are selected for three year terms and the TC is working towards broad representation of TC members by taking into consideration geographical region, professional affiliation, technical expertise, and gender when selecting new members. Nominations will be open to all IEEE and SPS members in good standing. Candidates can be self-nominated or nominated by Technical Committee members.

Nominations are accepted next time in Fall 2012 by the  DISPS Nomination and Election Subcommittee. In general, nominations should provide the following information:

1. A short biography with a statement from the nominee expressing their willingness to serve on the DISPS TC and perform the duties described in the Society Bylaws and Policies and Procedures, if elected.

2. A curriculum vitae

3. List of papers published in IEEE SiPS, IEEE ICASSP DISPS track, and IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing.

4. Names of up to two nominators. (Note that self-nomination is allowed according to the new SPS bylaw.)

TC members are expected to:

(1) attend TC meetings at least once a year (DISPS has two TC meetings every year, one in ICASSP and the other in SIPS) and

(2) actively participate in the paper review for IEEE ICASSP-DISPS track and IEEE SiPS.
