Scope

The Industry Digital Signal Processing Technology (IDSP) Standing Committee was formed in 1999 to promote the industry applications of signal processing technology and to also promote the industry participation in the SP Society and other IEEE societies.

From industry practice prospective, the functions of IDSP include (but are not limited to) the following:

1. Organization of the Industry Technology Track (ITT) for ICASSP. Specific areas of interest of ITT cover 10 broad categories and 36 subcategories as shown in EDICS.

2. Organization of Special issues for IEEE SPS Transactions and Magazines.

3. Providing representation in DSP-related standardization activities, regulation bodies and industrial alliances.

4. Organization of special sessions for IEEE SPS flagship conferences.

5. Nomination of papers for the IEEE SP Society Paper Awards, and nomination of individuals for IEEE SP Society Major Awards.

6. Providing technical sponsorship and advisory services for activities such as DSP-related professional certification programs.
