Awards
The IEEE Signal Processing Society grants a number of Awards to recognize the achievements of its members. The members of the IFS community who received such an award in the past are listed below. The awards are granted annualy and given during the next edition of ICASSP.
2010
- SPS DISTINGUISHED LECTURER: Nasir Memon, 2010-2011 (Image Forensics: Collection, Search, Attribution and Authentication, Biometric Security and Privacy, Network Forensics, Advanced File Carving and Techniques, Image Steganography and Steganalysis).
- BEST PAPER AWARD: Siwei Lyu and Hany Farid for the paper entitled, "Steganalysis Using Higher-Order Image Statistics", published in the IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, Volume 1, Number 1, March 2006.
- YOUNG AUTHOR BEST PAPER AWARD: Karthik Nandakumar, for the paper co-authored with Anil K. Jain and Sharath Pankanti entitled, "Fingerprint-Based Fuzzy Vault: Implementation and Performance", published in the IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, Volume 2, Number 4, December 2007.
2009
- TECHNICAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD: K. J. Ray Liu, "for pioneering and outstanding contributions for the advances of signal processing in multimedia forensics, security, and wireless communications."
- BEST PAPER AWARD: Jan Lukáŝ, Jessica Fridrich, and Miroslav Goljan, for the paper entitled, "Digital Camera Identification From Sensor Pattern Noise", published in the IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, Volume 1, Number 2, June 2006.

- SOCIETY AWARD: Edward J. Delp, "for technical contributions to the areas of multimedia security and image and video coding."
- MERITORIOUS SERVICE AWARD: Frederick C. Mintzer, "for service to the IEEE Signal Processing Society."
- EDUCATION AWARD: Bede Liu, "for outstanding contributions to graduate and undergraduate education and mentoring in signal processing."
- IEEE SIGNAL PROCESSING MAGAZINE BEST COLUMN AWARD: Mauro Barni, for the forum article entitled "What is the Future of Watermarking?" – Part I, published in the IEEE Signal Processing Magazine, Volume 20, Number 5, September 2003, and Part II, Volume 20, Number 6, November 2003.
- YOUNG AUTHOR BEST PAPER AWARD: H. Vicky Zhao, for her paper co-authored with K. J. Ray Liu entitled "Behavior Forensics for Scalable Multiuser Collusion: Fairness Versus Effectiveness," published in the IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, Volume 1, Number 3, September 2006.
