Information Forensics and Security Technical Committee

Dr. Ton Kalker and Prof. Pierre Moulin were elected as the Signal Processing Society's Distinguished Lecturers for the year 2012.

The IEEE International Workshop on Information Forensics and Security (WIFS) is the primary annual event organized by the IEEE’s Information Forensics and Security Technical Committee. The 3rd edition of WIFS will be held this year in Iguazu Falls, Brazil from November 29th to December 2nd, 2011. This article highlights the conference program, including tutorials, keynotes and a new poster session on ongoing research.

The 37th International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP) will be held at the Kyoto International Conference Center in Kyoto, Japan, on March 25 - 30, 2012. The Information Forensics and Security (IFS) track of ICASSP welcomes submissions in a variety of topics. This article lists the broad areas covered within the scope of ICASSP's IFS track.

The goal of this special issue is to collect high-quality contributions on security and privacy in complex systems and systems-of-systems. The journal solicits submissions from academia, industry, and government presenting novel and original research on all theoretical and practical aspects of security and privacy in complex systems. The focus of the special issue spans security and privacy theory, technology, methodology, and applications in complex systems.
