Event from the IEEE Enugu State University of Science and Technology SPS Student Chapter - Signal Processing with Awareness Program

The Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) Signal Processing Society (SPS) student chapter recently held a successful awareness program to ignite interest in the field of signal processing among staff and students. The program, initially planned for January 25th and 26th, 2023, was strategically rescheduled to February 7th and 8th, 2023, to accommodate the staggered return of students to campus.

This strategic move ensured a wider reach, with the SPS team visiting classrooms across the Computer Engineering and Electrical/Electronics Engineering departments, engaging with students at various levels. Their efforts resulted in reaching over 200 students, sparking curiosity and generating interest in the IEEE Signal Processing Society.

The program proved to be a resounding success, with several students expressing their desire to join the SPS. To maintain this momentum, the SPS team has promised a series of engaging events in the future. This initiative by the ESUT SPS student chapter effectively bridges the gap between academia and professional societies, fostering a culture of exploration and potentially shaping future careers in the fascinating realm of signal processing.
